"It would be wonderful and inspiring, if all of us Irish citizens engage this year

 in 'Earth Hour'. Where all lights are turned off and neighbours collaborate 

together outdoors in their local communities, to share their thoughts and deep concerns about Climate Change.

Earth Hour happens close after the twilight hour, at 8:30pm on March 19th, 

when darkness freed from light pollution on a clear night, reveals a bright 

enchanted sky, which will unfold 

silhouetted church spires and bell towers, lit by the moon, distant stars and by candle light.

Where church bells ring out and break the darkened silence.

Bells act as beacons to alert and guide us. They call out to awaken us, to 

collectively start 

acting in solidarity to protect our children's future.

Earth Hour will occur this year at 8.30pm on the 19th March.

A call is being made this year to all churches (of all denominations) to ring 

out their church bells in a 'Clarion Call' to Irish citizens and across the world.

It will form a symbol of a peaceful 'call to arms' where all citizens engage in 

actions and advocacy campaigns, that reach out to mitigate Climate Change and to protect our future.

'Earth Hour' will occur across the planet at 8.30pm in each time-zone of the world, on the 19th March, as the sun's shadow moves around Earth's globe in its full 24 hour cycle of a 360degree axial rotation.

I ask all Irish householders to engage with their neighbours outdoors, in 

celebrating Earth Hour, by turning off all lights and by listening to their local church bells ring out a clear 'Clarion Call'.

Earth Hour unifies all human civilisation across the planet in a peaceful 

symbolic 24 hour gesture of solidarity and consensus. It is a call for all global nations to act universally and with great urgency to address Climate Change.
