RESOURCES

Here is a list of some really wonderful online resources for youth groups, secondary schools and young people who would like to step up to the plate and answer the call to protect their planet:

- Teaching about Earth Hour: If you'd like to speak to your class, fellow students, or youth group about the global initiative of Earth Hour and what it represents, TES have put together a page of resources on the topic of Earth Hour.

- The charitable organisation, Trócaire, provides educational resources about Climate Justice, and why Climate Change is a human rights issue which requires use all to act.

- If you're looking for some pratical steps your school or youth group can take, there's no better place to start than the website of Green-Schools Ireland.

- When you're ready to take action online for a better climate future and a healthier, more biodiverse planet, the World Wildlife Fund have lots of way you can get active online.

Looking for a little poetic inspiration...?

If you need a kickstart to begin your action for the environment, this beautiful poem

encapsulates the abundant beauty of our natural world - something which is sadly at stake if we fail in taking action together to protect it:

Pied Beauty

Glory be to God for dappled things —
  For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow;
    For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim;
Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches' wings;
  Landscape plotted and pieced — fold, fallow, and plough;
    And áll trádes, their gear and tackle and trim.

All things counter, original, spare, strange;
  Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)
    With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim;
He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change:
                Praise him.

How do you take action?

What actions do you take to tackle climate change in your work, school, family or community? Tell us, and let us know why you think it's important to create change and join the movement for the environment. Don't forget to let us know if you're happy for your actions to be shared with others on our socail media, to inspire them to take action too!

Got a Creative Streak?

Art of all forms is such a wonderful way to transcend barriers and communicate important messages to society. If you have created art in your school that helps spread the Clarion Call message of protecting our world, send us in a photo of your artwork, whether it's a painting, a poem, a poster, or something completely different! Don't forget to let us know if we can share your artwork online.

Budding Ecologist?

Many schools and youth groups do fantastic work teaching young people about the biodiversity of our planet, the causes of climate change and many more environmental issues, and how to improve them. Send us in snaps of your eco science project, and let us know if you'd be happy for us to share them!

Are you a muso, techie, or photographer?

Then we'd love to have your skills on board with us for Clarion Call!

                               Take a look at the panel on the left, to                                      see how you can use your talents to                                        contribute to Clarion Call!

Calling all Techies...

We're looking for people to record the sound of bells ringing in their local community (it doesn't need to be fancy, just on a phone or ipad will do!) and send the audio on to us, so we can create a beautiful compilation of bells ringing out every where across the country to symbolise what we are trying to acheive with Clarion Call! Feel free to send us in your photos - either of church bells, or inspiring scenes from the natural world - if you'd like us to share them with those trying to make a difference for the better.

Thanks for taking action!
